Up and Down The Andes has been chosen by Reading is Fundamental for their 2011-2012 theme of "celebrations." The picture book is one of 45 titles selected for Macy's Multicultural Collection of Children's Literature. During this year RIF will distribute 650 collections to schools and other organizations across the U.S., reaching at-risk and underserved children.
